Udhagamandalam -“The Queen of Hill Stations” is an evergreen tourist centre. The long felt need for a college for women to meet the educational need of this town has been fulfilled by Emerald Heights College for Women since 1969. It is situated in the tri-junction of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu in a pleasant and serene atmosphere. The motto of the college is to render yeoman service to the economically backward women and the tribal communities by providing quality education.

The college has been Re-accredited by NAAC with B++ grade. Presently the college is managed by The Nilgiri Education Society under the leadership of our respectful secretary Shri. S. Motilal Kataria, a dynamic, energetic and enthusiastic person who has the vision of bringing the college to greater heights. The college has seen great changes, new innovative courses and new buildings because of his ceaseless efforts.
